Sf Intelligence: Building the Starshot Factory

A National IP Lab for the Age of Applied Intelligence

Sf Intelligence is an independent research lab founded by Aspen Persky, operating in stealth since early 2024. Our mission is to push the boundaries of physics, artificial intelligence, and systems-level design through unified field theoretic research and applied innovation.

Research Focus

Our expertise spans theoretical physics, neural modeling, energy systems, and cognitive frameworks. We explore alternative geometries and dynamics for neural systems and will propose new, information-theoretic models that unify quantum field theory and general relativity. Central to our work is the hypothesis of a shared field structure and morphogenic information dynamics—offering new lenses on cosmology, cognition, and computation.

Throughout this process, artificial intelligence has served not merely as a tool, but as a co-reasoner—assisting in the modeling, simulation, and documentation of these constructs in both code and natural language.

From Theory to Protection

We have now completed the foundational theoretical phase and are entering the intellectual property protection stage. Our intent is to publish findings for peer validation while safeguarding their underlying value. In doing so, we have also identified substantial secondary IP across adjacent domains—including energy storage, optoelectronics, healthcare, sanitation, and materials science.

A Broken Innovation Pipeline

In our analysis of large-scale systems—academic, industrial, and economic—we see a common pattern: institutions once built for innovation have become structurally incapable of supporting long-horizon research.

Corporate research arms (e.g., Xerox PARC, Bell Labs, and later Google’s advanced projects) have repeatedly collapsed under market pressures that demand near-term returns. Publicly traded structures are fundamentally incompatible with the indefinite time scales that deep innovation requires.

Academia, meanwhile, enforces ossified thought structures through publishing incentives and prestige cycles. It rarely protects IP and almost never supports the kind of systems-level generalism required for paradigm-shifting advances.

Our Proposal: The Starshot Factory

We propose a new model: a privately funded, public-purpose national lab—an innovation engine decoupled from short-term market forces, designed to produce IP, prototypes, and strategic insight across multiple fields.

The Starshot Factory will act as:

This model optimizes for intellectual velocity, not market momentum. Its value is not in quarterly profit but in long-horizon returns: a persistent pipeline of IP that reinvigorates domestic industry, strengthens trade positions, and shifts technological baselines.

A New Kind of Value

The lab would not compete with its own IP. Instead, it would exist as a pure innovation layer: a trust-like structure where investor-aligned patent pools serve as both protection and economic lever. All profit—when generated—is reinvested or distributed to partners. The goal is not a unicorn. The goal is a self-sustaining innovation commons, capable of building what academia cannot and industry dare not.

Call to Action

Sf Intelligence is now entering the phase of legal structuring, IP protection, and institutional design. We are seeking legal partners, strategic investors, and aligned collaborators to help launch the Starshot Factory. Our belief is simple:

America needs a new engine of invention. We’re building it.
